Our History
Schantz Orchards was started in 1919 by Milton P. Schantz. At that time peaches were his main crop. The Jaindl and Schantz Families have a close friendship that dates back to the 1940s.
In 1987 Fred and David Jaindl purchased the Orchards from Milton’s grandsons, Louie and Harold Schantz. Louie and Harold have continued to assist with the daily operations of the orchard which produces over 60,000 bushes of fruit annually on its 300 acres. The Orchard crops include apples, peaches, pears, plumbs, grapes, and cherries. During the Fall months Schantz Orchards also offers pumpkins, gourds, Indian corn, and Fresh Pressed Apple Cidar.
Schantz Orchards packages their apples and other crops for local fruit stands and markets such as Wegmans.
